My name is Steve Bunting and I am a professional freelance FOH / Monitors live sound engineer, systems technician and audio consultant specialising in live music mixing. I am based in Wimbledon in southwest London but travel worldwide.
I offer a professional approach to all live sound applications, with considerable experience drawn from a diverse range of events including bands, clubs, tours, functions, conferences, theatre, orchestral, comedy, seminars and festivals in a variety of venues. I have hands-on experience of an extensive range of professional audio equipment and a thorough grounding in audio engineering theory but come from a musical background so smoothly combine the technical and creative aspects of audio production. My extensive contacts in the industry permit me to select the highest quality and best-suited crew and suppliers for a particular event. Above all, I take great pride in my work and have a great deal of enthusiasm for my job.
I hope that this website will give you an idea of my experience and capabilities. Please feel free to learn more about what I can do for you by taking a look around.
Thanks for taking the time to visit, and please feel free to contact me.
Steve Hackett UK Tour
Saturday 18th May 2013
I have just returned from a short run around the UK with Steve Hackett. As monitor technician, I helped Steve's monitor engineer Richard Buckland with audio on stage, as well as assisting the FOH technician flying the PA. Capital Sound supplied a full system including a Soundcraft Vi1 on monitors, a Yamaha CL5 at FOH, Sennheiser G3 IEMs and a Meyer MICA PA system. The tour continues into Europe with just a control package.
Friday 26th April 2013
I have been working on various one-off events over the past month, including a Little Mix show in the New Look store in Westfield Shepherd's Bush, mixing monitors for Kim Wilde shows in the Netherlands, mixing monitors for an Alison Moyet show at Bush Hall, FOH for the Record Store Day show on Berwick Street in Soho and monitors for a showcase at Abbey Road Studios featuring Rizzle Kicks, Professor Green, Alfie Boe and Frank Turner.
Universal Brits Afterparty
Thursday 28th February 2013
I was booked by Capital Sound to mix Iggy Azalea in Room 2 of the Universal Brits Afterparty hosted by Soho House last week. I mixed FOH and monitors from an LS9-32, with a small Meyer system and G2 IEMs. You can see a story about the event at http://capital-sound.com/press/breaking-news/capital-rules-brit-annia/
